Booking at Play and Pause Therapy

Your understanding of our cancellation and late arrival policy is appreciated, as it helps ensure fair and consistent service for all clients. Full payment is required at the appointment by card only. A sliding scale of fees is available to allow therapy to be accessible to you and or your family. Telehealth clients over December and January 2026 will be invoiced.

NDIS

Yes, we welcome clients who access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Play and Pause Therapy and Counselling.  

Services, including LEGO®   Based Therapy, though we are not a registered NDIS provider. We proudly support both Self-Managed and Plan Managed participants for these counselling services, which can be funded under Capacity Building and Improved Daily Living.

Self-Managed Participants

Self-Managed NDIS participants can pay directly for their sessions. A receipt will be provided so you can claim the session cost.

Plan Managed Participants

If your plan is managed by a registered plan manager, invoices will be sent directly to your plan manager for payment.

Cancellation and Late Arrival Policy

Your understanding of our cancellation and late arrival policy is appreciated, as it helps ensure fair and consistent service for all clients. 

Full payment is required at the appointment by card even if you arrive late. Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, 50% of the session fee may be forfeited, except in exceptional circumstances. In cases of illness where attending via telehealth is not suitable, a medical certificate may be requested to waive the late cancellation fee.

Confidentiality and Privacy Policy

All information discussed during counselling services will be kept confidential, except in situations where there is a legal obligation to disclose information (for example, when there is a risk of harm to you, me, or others, suspected abuse or neglect, or a legal requirement such as a court order).

To maintain registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), participation in confidential professional supervision is mandatory. This ensures that all services, are delivered with the highest standard of care and ethical practice. By using the services of Sarah at Play and Pause Therapy, an ACA registered Level 2 counsellor, you can be assured that she meets appropriate education and practice standards and is accountable to a professional code of ethics and complaints procedure https://theaca.net.au/
